A traditional coconut shell ladle fitted to a long plain wooden handle, with the natural shell left as the bowl. It suits stirring and serving curries, sambol, kiri hodi, pol pani and sweetmeats in deep pots without scratching clay or non-stick surfaces, and the long handle keeps your hand away from the heat. Handy for home cooks and for kitchens doing traditional Sri Lankan cooking or hopper and kevum work in volume; hand wash and dry, as shell and timber do not take dishwashers well.
