A round, fluted-sided baking tin with a detachable (loose) base, made of light metal with a plain silver finish. Use it for tarts, quiches, flans and single-layer cakes — the removable bottom lets you lift the tart out clean without breaking the crimped edge. Suits bakeries and hotel pastry sections doing repeat batches, as well as home bakers who want a proper tart finish.
