A small round cast iron pot with a lidded top, twin loop handles and a stainless knob, served on a shaped wooden board. It goes straight from the flame to the table for hot single-portion servings — curries, devilled dishes, baked cheese, soups and sides — with the timber base protecting the table and making it safe to carry. Sized at about 10 cm across the pot, it suits restaurants and hotels plating individual portions, and home cooks who like a mini casserole for one or two pax.
