A cast aluminium thachchi — a deep, round-bottomed frying pan with two riveted side handles for lifting a full pan safely. Made for deep-frying, tempering, frying fish and vadai, and cooking curries over high gas or firewood heat, and it holds heat well once hot. Suits busy hotel and restaurant kitchens, caterers and boutique cooks, as well as home kitchens that cook in volume.
