A heavy-duty table-top string hopper press with a painted metal frame, machined cylinder and a long lever arm fitted with a wooden handle, bolted to a flat base plate for stability. You load the flour dough into the cylinder and pull the lever to extrude strands straight onto your string hopper mats, which is far faster and less tiring than hand-squeezing a mould. Suited to kitchens turning out string hoppers in volume for breakfast service, as well as large households and home caterers who make idiyappam often.
