A heavy cast aluminium thachchi — a deep, round-bottomed frying pan with two riveted loop handles for lifting with both hands. Built for deep-frying, tempering and bulk frying of vadai, cutlets, papadam, fish and curry bases, and it sits well on gas rings and firewood hearths alike. Suits hotel and caterer kitchens doing volume frying, as well as home cooks who want a pan that lasts.
