A thick-gauge cast aluminium strainer with a perforated base and sides, fitted with side lugs and a drop ring handle for lifting and hanging. It is made for draining large batches of rice, noodles, string hoppers, boiled vegetables or washed dhal, and it sits well over a bucket or a big pot. Built for hotel, restaurant and caterer kitchens that drain by the potful, though large households cooking for a crowd will use it too.
