A cast aluminium kavum mould with a deep cone bowl, fluted rim and three short legs so it stands steady in the oil pan while the batter sets. Made for frying konda kavum and similar oil cakes at avurudu and festival time, and it takes repeated deep-frying without warping. Suits home cooks doing sweetmeats in bulk as well as hotel and bakery kitchens producing traditional Sri Lankan sweets.
